Terms of Service

By accessing or using Joblume (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use Joblume.

Joblume is a free tool that uses artificial intelligence to read a resume you provide, find job listings aggregated from across the web, and estimate how well each one fits your profile. An optional account also lets you save jobs to a personal application tracker. It is an informational aid only. We are not a recruiter, employment agency, or your representative, and we are not a party to any application or hiring decision between you and an employer.

Searching needs no account. Creating one (with an email and password, or with Google) is optional and only unlocks the application tracker. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account, and you agree to provide an email address you are entitled to use. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the Service or breach these Terms, and you may delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

You agree that you will not:

• Use bots, scrapers, or scripts, or otherwise try to bypass the IP-based daily usage limits;
• Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or abusive;
• Upload a resume or personal information that belongs to someone else without their permission;
• Upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its providers;
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service; or
• Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to the documents you upload.

We may suspend or block access (for example, by rate-limiting an IP) if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.

Joblume is free to start, with usage limits to manage third-party API costs. The free plan currently includes 1 resume search without an account or 3 with a free account (in total, not per day), 1 filter search per day, and a per-account daily limit on the AI “paste a posting” tracker feature. Joblume Pro ($6.99 / month, billed by Stripe, cancel any time) raises these to 5 resume searches and 5 filter searches per day. These limits may change at any time, and we don't guarantee any particular level of availability.

You keep full ownership of any resume or other content you upload. We do not store your resume after your session and we claim no ongoing rights to it. You grant us only a limited, temporary license to process your content for the single purpose of generating your results — nothing more.

If you save jobs to the application tracker, those rows are stored under your account until you delete them (or delete your account). You remain responsible for having the right to upload or paste whatever you submit.

The job listings come from third parties and the fit scores are produced by AI. Because of this:

• We do not guarantee employment, an interview, or any outcome. The scores are estimates from text analysis, not a judgment that you are qualified.
• We cannot guarantee a listing is accurate, current, or still open — listings are owned and controlled by third parties.
• AI can make mistakes, misread formatting, or miss context.
• You are responsible for verifying every job's details on the employer's own website before applying.

The Service links to third-party job postings and relies on third-party providers. We don't control those sites or services and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or their own terms and privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joblume and its creator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost opportunities, or data loss, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to CAD $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joblume and its creator from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or these Terms) at any time. We'll update the “Last updated” date for changes to these Terms; continuing to use Joblume means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
