Cookie & Local Storage Policy

Cookies we set

Joblume does not set cookies. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, cross-site marketing trackers, or any ad network, and we don't build an advertising profile of you.

What we store, and why

Instead of tracking cookies, the app uses your browser's built-in local storage to function. This data stays on your device rather than on a remote server. We use it only for these essential, functional purposes:

  • Search cache (24 hours). We create a secure fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) of your resume file and save it with your results for 24 hours. If you refresh the page, the app reuses this cache so you don't lose your results or waste your daily search.
  • Daily usage counter. A small counter that tracks whether you've used your free daily search, so we can offer AI processing for free.
  • Sign-in token (only if you have an account). If you create an account or use the hidden owner login, Firebase stores an authentication token in your browser so you stay signed in. Visitors who only search — and never sign in — never trigger it.

Analytics

We count anonymous daily visits and uploads using your IP address on the server — no cookies are involved. The counts are not tied to your identity, and we do not sell or share this data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Managing your data

Because everything is stored in your own browser, you're in full control. You can wipe all saved Joblume data — cached results and usage counters included — at any time by clearing this site's data (or your browser history / local storage) in your browser settings.
